A perfect alliance between sand and rock, the Tadrart is made of dunes and sandstone peaks.
The region is famous for its engravings, paintings, and Neolithic sites, but also for its arches and rock formations sculpted by the wind.
Wandering through the canyons, climbing the highest dune of Tin Merzouga (300m), admiring the red sand and the Milky Way...

This can be done accompanied by 4x4 vehicles or camels.
Day 1 - TOZEUR - ALGERIAN BORDER - EL OUED
In the morning, we arrive at the Algerian border and have just finished our journey. We arrive in the border town of El Oued, known as the City of a Thousand Domes. We will visit the picturesque souks. Overnight stay in a hotel with secure parking.
Day 2 - EL OUED - OHANET
Heading south, passing through the town of Touggurt and then the major oil city of Hassi Messaoud, we traversed the vast expanse of one of Africa's richest hydrocarbon deserts. Overnight in Ohanet.
Day 3 - OHANET – ILLIZI
We are increasingly entering the heart of the Sahara; the desert dunes are interrupted by vast flat expanses where the gaze is lost on the horizon, unseen by all the work done by humankind. Night nearby at Illizi.
Day 4 - ILLIZI - IHERIR
Along National Route 3 heading south, the In Amenas oil field is always passed before reaching the town of Illizi, which marks the boundary between the dune area and the beginning of the Tassili n'Ajjer rocky massif.
After refueling the Illizi with food and fuel, we set off again on March. Today's event takes us across the Tassili, a rugged, mountainous desert, passing through the small village of Fednoun. During the day, we reach the oasis of Iherir, a true gem of the desert. Overnight in a campsite.
Day 5 IHERIR - DJANET
In the morning, we visit the oasis on foot; for the more athletic, there is the possibility of reaching an old Ksar (2 hours); in the afternoon, we take the camper van to reach the Djanet camp.
Days 6 and 7, 8 and 9 - The days will be devoted to 4x4 excursions in the magnificent Tassili Najjer tadrart desert.
We will start in the morning with 4x4 vehicles to discover the natural beauty hidden in this part of the world and to admire the sculptures and rock paintings that the climate has preserved in perfect condition, we will have lunch in the middle of the desert and in the afternoon we will return to the camp.
Day 10 DJANET - ILLIZI
Departure in the morning heading north, along the same road. Night at the foot of the dunes in the desert.
Day 11 ILLIZI – HASSI MESSAOUD
Transfer to the north. Overnight stay nearby in Hassi Messaoud.
Day 12 HASSI MESSAOUD - EL OUED TUNISIA TOZEUR BORDER
Transfer north. Overnight stay in a hotel with secure parking.
